North Carolina Wine Month

September is North Carolina Wine Month! To get things started this year, there will be a special kickoff event held at Norris House in downtown Raleigh.  Media and blogger guests from all over the state are being invited to this event along with folks from restaurants in the Raleigh area.

During the event, we will feature an official presentation of the Governor's Proclamation recognizing September as North Carolina Wine Month.

After the presentation, there will be a tasting event.  Guests will have an opportunity to taste wines from different wineries across the state, showcasing what North Carolina Wine is all about.

More About The Tasting

The tasting event will feature wines from across the state.

---Pro Tip---
We highly recommend you take the following steps when participating in this event:

  1. Swirl - take a moment to swirl the wine in your glass to get some air into it.
  2. Smell - stick your nose right into the glass and sniff.
  3. Sip - take the wine into your mouth, swish it around,  and see how it tastes.
  4. Spit* - this is important as you'll be tasting about several wines.  We want this to be a safe event and we want you to appreciate all of the wines you taste!

*Spit cups, dump buckets, and water will be provided.
