The smell will be divine!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"1024\" remove cheesecloth and sprig of rosemary. &nbsp;Grate fresh nutmeg. &nbsp;Stir. &nbsp;Heat on low another two hours. &nbsp;Remove cinnamon sticks and turn setting to warm. &nbsp;Serve warm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the full recipe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>INGREDIENTS<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 Whole Star Anise<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5 Whole Green Cardamom Pods, Cracked<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Teaspoon Whole Cloves<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Teaspoon Whole Allspice Berries<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bd Teaspoon Whole Black Peppercorns<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 Teaspoon Grated Orange Peel<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.5\u201d Fresh Ginger, Peeled and Sliced Thinly<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2 cups Apple Cider<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 bottle Dry Red Wine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1 cup Tawny Port<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00bc cup Bourbon<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Juice of \u00bd an Orange<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6\u201d Sprig of Rosemary<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3 Cinnamon Sticks<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Freshly Grated Nutmeg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4 Quart Slow Cooker<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cheesecloth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Butcher\u2019s Twine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>METHOD<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Heat small non-stick skillet over medium heat.<\/li><li>Once the skillet is hot, add Star Anise, Cardamon, Cloves, Allspice, and Black Peppercorns.<\/li><li>Toast for 2-3 minutes stirring constantly to prevent burning.<\/li><li>Place toasted spices in cheesecloth along with Grated Orange Peel and Ginger.<\/li><li>Secure with Butcher\u2019s Twine.<\/li><li>Pour wine, cider, port, and bourbon into slow cooker.<\/li><li>Add cheesecloth bundle, rosemary sprig, and cinnamon sticks.<\/li><li>Stir.<\/li><li>Set slow cooker to low.<\/li><li>Heat for 2 hours.<\/li><li>Remove rosemary and cheesecloth bundle.<\/li><li>Grate a dash or two of fresh nutmeg.<\/li><li>Stir.<\/li><li>Continue to heat on low for another hour or two.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Remove cinnamon sticks.<\/li><li>&nbsp;Set slow cooker to Warm until ready to
