It was proclaimed by Gov. McCrory to celebrate the wine and grape industry\u2019s contributions to our state. With a $1.7 Billion economic impact, 525 grape growers and 180 wineries, this industry is vital to our state. We\u2019re glad you asked! Here are a few of our ideas!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Visit a local winery. <\/strong>Go for a tasting or an afternoon picnic or both! Visit ncwine.org to plan your trip!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Buy local wine!<\/strong> Either at a local store or better yet, from the winery itself!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Drink local wine!<\/strong> Celebrate with your favorite bottle of North Carolina wine. Dry, sweet, red, white or ros\u00e9, there\u2019s something for everyone out there!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ask for local wine at restaurants and wine bars.<\/strong> It\u2019s NC Wine Month! Encourage restaurants to do their part.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Encourage your friends and family to join in.<\/strong> There are plenty of folks leaving in NC who have know idea that we\u2019re 10<sup>th<\/sup> in wine production in the country!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Talk about NC Wine on social media!<\/strong> Be sure to use the hashtags #NCWine and #NCWineMonth! Let\u2019s get them trending!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Take a picture of what NC Wine you\u2019re drinking!<\/strong> <strong>Share with us on Social Media!<\/strong> We\u2019ll do our best to retweet or repost! Don\u2019t forget the #NCWine and #NCWineMonth hashtags!<\/li>\n<li><strong>Follow us!<\/strong> We\u2019re on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Just search for @NCWineGuys. Most of them harvest by hand with the help of volunteers.
