{"id":10319,"date":"2021-04-23T16:37:51","date_gmt":"2021-04-23T20:37:51","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/?p=10319"},"modified":"2024-08-25T20:36:12","modified_gmt":"2024-08-26T00:36:12","slug":"in-the-wine-light-north-carolina-wine-month-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/index.php\/in-the-wine-light-north-carolina-wine-month-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"In The Wine Light &#8211; North Carolina Wine Month 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3200\" src=\"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/got-to-be-nc-300x154.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"154\" srcset=\"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/got-to-be-nc-300x154.png 300w, http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/got-to-be-nc-1024x526.png 1024w, http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/got-to-be-nc-150x77.png 150w, http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/got-to-be-nc-1376x709.png 1376w, http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/got-to-be-nc.png 1379w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a style=\"border: 0px; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; text-decoration: none; color: #975eb2;\" href=\"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/index.php\/in-the-wine-light\/\">In the Wine Light<\/a><span style=\"caret-color: #333333; color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">\u00a0we celebrate <a href=\"http:\/\/ncwine.org\">North Carolina Wine<\/a> Month! \u00a0Back in May for second year, NC Wine Month 2021 looks to be more celebratory than the 2020 version. \u00a0During 2020, wineries were closed for onsite consumption until May 23rd due to the <a href=\"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/index.php\/in-the-wine-light-one-year-with-covid\/\">COVID-19 pandemic<\/a>. \u00a0Fast forward to 2021, and it&#8217;s nearly business as usual.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>With the pandemic improving and the great weather in May, there&#8217;s even more of a reason to celebrate.\u00a0 Head out and visit (safely) wineries, vineyards, meaderies, and cideries in the month of May.\u00a0 Take your masks.\u00a0 Wash your hands.\u00a0 Keep your distance, but ENJOY!\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Share your fun on social media.\u00a0 Use the hashtags #NCWine and #NCWineMonth.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for ideas on how to celebrate NC Wine Month, here are some of the special events and promotions we&#8217;ve found so far:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.botanistandbarrel.com\/\">Botanist &amp; Barrel<\/a> in Cedar Grove will be celebrating with new wine and cider releases.<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/surrywineries.com\/\">Surry Wineries<\/a>, an association of 20 wineries in Surry and Wilkes Counties, are all banding together to promote wine month!\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassycreekvineyard.com\/\">Grassy Creek Vineyard &amp; Winery<\/a> in State Road released a new wine on Friday, April 30th to honor their vineyard dog, Max.\u00a0 The 2017 &#8220;To the Max&#8221; is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah.\u00a0 Expect this wine to be a big NC Wine Month hit!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brandonhillsvineyard.com\/\">Brandon Hills Vineyard<\/a> in Yadkinville released their 2015 Raptor Red on Saturday, May 1st.\u00a0 Raptor Red is Brandon Hills&#8217; signature red blend.\u00a0 We got a sneak peak last fall.\u00a0 It&#8217;s great wine, you&#8217;re sure to enjoy.\u00a0 The release also includes food and live music.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ferncrestwinery.com\/\">FernCrest Winery<\/a> in Andrews released their new Autumn Ros\u00e9 on Saturday, May 1st.\u00a0 This wine is made from their vineyard&#8217;s Cynthiana\/Norton grapes and finished sweet.\u00a0 Later in the month, look for their Black Lady wine made from local blackberries and organic blueberries and finished sweet.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zimmermanvineyards.net\/\">Zimmerman Vineyards<\/a> in Trinity will be releasing their new Sparkling Ros\u00e9, Ros\u00e9 Rush with a special release party on May 14th at 6pm.\u00a0 For $50 per couple, enjoy a bottle of this new ros\u00e9 along with a charcuterie board.\u00a0 Contact the tasting room to reserve your spot.\u00a0 In addition, Songwriter Sundays continue all month!\u00a0 This features local artists singing original tunes.<\/li>\n<li>Wineries and vineyards across the state are giving away picnic sets.\u00a0 Check your favorite winery or vineyard&#8217;s social media pages for details!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Stay tuned for other ways to celebrate all month long!\u00a0 Keep checking back on this post, we&#8217;ll be updating it all month long.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>May is North Carolina Wine Month.
