href=\"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/index.php\/in-the-wine-light\/\">In the Wine Light<\/a>\u00a0is a look ahead at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncwine.org\">North Carolina Wine<\/a> for 2021. \u00a0Let&#8217;s be honest. \u00a02020 was a dumpster fire of a year. \u00a0From COVID-19 to the late spring frosts and freezes that wiped out many spring grape buds and flowers to the seemingly never ending rain, 2020 was a year that we and probably most of the local wine industry is happy to forget.<\/p>\n<p>With the new year, comes the hope of better opportunities and experiences. \u00a0Here are few things we&#8217;re looking forward to for North Carolina Wine in 2021:<\/p>\n<h1><strong><span style=\"color: #333399;\">2021 &gt; 2020<\/span><\/strong><\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Improvement of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/strong> \u00a0We missed regularly visiting wineries in 2020. \u00a0We hope the pandemic improves which will allow us to visit more often, taste more often, and share more about North Carolina wine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div id=\"attachment_2831\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img Digital Media Summit.<\/strong> \u00a0We&#8217;ve decided to rename the <a href=\"http:\/\/ncwineguys.com\/index.php\/ncwine-bloggers-summit\/\">#NCWine Bloggers Summit<\/a> to be more inclusive. \u00a0The 2020 version was virtual and the 2021 summit may be as well. \u00a0Look for more information in the coming months.<\/li>\n<li><strong>More 2019 wines to taste, buy, and enjoy.<\/strong> \u00a02019 was a stellar growing season in much of North Carolina. \u00a0A number of 2019 whites and ros\u00e9s have been released as well as a few 2019 reds. \u00a02021 should bring more of them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>More sparkling wines and ros\u00e9s.<\/strong> \u00a0Sparkling wines and ros\u00e9s continue to be popular. \u00a0We look forward to more of these appearing in tasting rooms
