In the Wine Light<\/a> is our sweet wine cat, Sami. \u00a0Long time followers knew Sami as our little photo bomber in our wine photos. \u00a0It started by accident, but later we would try to get her in the shot. \u00a0Her fans were sometimes concerned if she was missing from the photo. Sadly, we had to goodbye to our sweet and spicy, Sami Sue on October 10, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We celebrated Sami’s birthday on November 17th. \u00a0We didn’t actually know when her birthday was or even how old she was exactly. \u00a0Sami was a rescue kitty. \u00a0She was saved by the\u00a0Saving Southern Kitties<\/a> from a high kill shelter in Greenville, South Carolina. \u00a0Her vet records listed November 17th as her birthday, but that might just be the day she was pulled from the shelter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saving Southern Kitties is a terrific non-profit organization run by our dear friend, Susan, working to save cats from high kill shelters in the Carolinas.  Based in the Charlotte area, this volunteer organization is top notch and does fantastic work.  Visit their website<\/a> to find out how to volunteer, donate money, purchase fun kitty merchandise, or see their list of adoptable cats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sami was sweet, a little crazy, and VERY loud. \u00a0She always had something to say. \u00a0Sami loved laying the sun, sleeping under her blanket on the couch and in her later years on her big pillow for hours, cardboard boxes, and sitting outside on the patio with her humans. \u00a0She added such joy to our lives. \u00a0We miss her dearly and will never forget her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
